Mixing Ratio of high End Hypershift Quality ( For Dark and Black Base )

Here is the list of high end hypershift series , relevant for this topic  from our website

  • Aura series, hyperholographics , TR series , TQ series , TCG, GF , HZP series , FT series and all hypershift from Black to Red/ Orange/Blue
  • 1 litre color of these pigments can be created by adding 10-15 gram of color in clear/ binder

1️⃣ Surface & Basecoat Preparation (VERY IMPORTANT)

  1. Sand surface smoothly (P800 → P1000)

  2. Apply jet black / deep black basecoat

  3. Let basecoat flash completely

  4. Do not clear coat before hypershift layer

👉 Best base colors:

  • Jet Black (recommended)

  • Deep black-grey

  • Dark navy (optional)

2️⃣ Mixing High-Quality Hypershift Pigment (Correct Method)

🔹 Standard Mixing Ratio (High-End Quality)

Hypershift Pigment Dosage:

  • 10  gram (mid effect )

  • 15- 20 gram   (strong effect )

in 1 liter clear binder / intercoat clear:

3️⃣ Dispersion Method (Professional Tip)

  1. Add pigment slowly into clear binder

  2. Mix gently by hand or low-RPM stirrer

  3. Rest mixture 10–15 minutes

  4. Filter with 125–190 micron filter

4️⃣ Spray Gun Settings (Automotive)

Parameter Setting
Gun type HVLP / LVLP
Nozzle 1.2 – 1.3 mm
Air pressure 18–22 PSI
Fan Medium-wide
Coats 2–3 light coats

✔ Spray even mist coats
✔ Cross-coat technique
✔ 5–10 min flash between coats

5️⃣ Visual Control While Spraying

  • First coat → barely visible

  • Second coat → color shift starts

  • Third coat → strong travel

👉 Stop when shift is visible
👉 Do NOT aim for solid color coverage

6️⃣ Clear Coating (Final Protection)

  1. Allow hypershift layer to flash 20–30 min

  2. Apply 2K clear coat (2 coats)

  3. Optional third coat for extra depth

  4. Cure as per system (air bake / oven)
